ASK and Think&Go partner to create the next generation connect screens for the public transport market

ASK (Euronext Paris - FR0011980077 - ASK), specialist in contactless solutions for identity and public transport and Think&Go the inventor of connected screens, announce the signature of a partnership based on the integration of ASK’s NFC technology into Think&Go’s connected screens, resulting in  new customer experience and services for transport users.

Connected screens in Transport to deliver new services
With the new generation of screens as well as the standard information, public transport users will be able to benefit from new services proposed
from transport operators: take coupons, buy products, recharge their travel cards etc…, just by simply placing their contactless transport cards or smart phones directly on the screen. The result is Screen Commerce which is designed to simplify the behavior and habits of consumers

Christophe Peix, Director of ASK’s  Smart City  division, stated :

“Our NFC offer for cities covers the complete chain for public transport users: apart from the RFID cards or NFC smart phones (HCE or SIM centric) that everyone has in their hands, we add the possibility of recharging, purchasing, information and the control of their transport entitlements, all managed under the attractive environment of ThinkandGo’s connected screens. We are very pleased to be associated with an innovative company like ThinkandGo in tomorrow’s digital world and also be able to contribute to their success by bringing our technology expertise “

Vincent Berge, CEO at Think&Go, added :

“Public Transport is a well-established contactless eco-system, which will evolve easily to new value added services other than ticketing access control. Connected screens in Transport will offer this new evolution for both users and transport operators. We are pleased to partner with professionals like ASK which will help connected screens adoption to the transport market. Screen Commerce is now starting to roll out in public transport to provide new services to the operators, cities and consumers.

ASK has unique experience in the public transport world: since 1997, the group has developed and deployed complete contactless solutions (cards, tickets, terminals and associated services) for the main players in the world of public transport. In particular, ASK proposes contactless couplers for ticketing systems, recognized for their performance, stability and compliance to international standards.

This industrial and commercial project is at the heart of ASK’s Smart City- an initiative which regroups the advisory transport authority bodies as well as the range of technology solutions (connected objects, NFC – Near Field Communication -, transport and banking transactions)

Think&Go has revolutionized commerce and contactless payment with the first connected screens capable of interacting with consumers for coupons, information, quiz etc… by simply placing any connected object (Card, mobile, watch.) on the screens image. More recently Think&Go added contactless payment capability to the screens, allowing consumers to buy products everywhere, at any moment, opening a new commerce channel:  Street Commerce. This technology based on 2 patents has been, awarded 17 international innovation prizes including the E-commerce award in 2015 and Smart Asia Awards in 2016.
